Eden For Arizona

I am Cathy Eden and I believe it is time for a new direction for Arizona.

I believe in personal responsibility, hard work, solution oriented goals, and accountability; these are attributes that I learned from my parents. They help guide me through life and will help me represent the citizens of Arizona in Washington D.C.

I believe in a free market, a strong defense, a safety net for the vulnerable in our society, an obligation to our elderly and an opportunity for all willing to work hard and accept personal responsibility. These are not contradictory beliefs. Taken together, they help weave a fabric for a strong and dynamic economy and society. But I do not believe in a free lunch. Not for fat cats on Wall Street or those looking for a handout instead of a hand up.

The US Financial System of the 2000s has morphed into Capitalism for profits and Socialism for losses with the downside pushed on to our children and grandchildren. This is immoral pure and simple. That is not acceptable to me and must change.

I have outlined four goals that will define the foundation of my campaign for the U S Senate. They include: 1) Job Creation through targeted tax credits to create one million new private sector jobs in manufacturing and construction, 2) Energy Independence with an emphasis on building ten 500 megawatt solar power plants and other clean energy solutions, 3) Bringing the troops home from Afghanistan and 4) Deficit Reduction with an eventual Balanced Budget.
